Operations Quality Engineer (QE)

MFC is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for our Optical Components manufacturing center based out of Orlando, FL. The position requires quality engineering experience with an emphasis on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment Evaluating product tests results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. Leads and/or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations. Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards. Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods. Ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes. Performs special process assessments and audits procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 Industry standards. Interfaces with customers, program personnel on quality related issues. Makes the final decision on acceptability of product. This position is in Orlando. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Basic Qualifications: STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance Knowledge of robotics and automation implementation Knowledgeable of AS9100 standard and implementation of Quality Management System Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products (electronic assemblies) Experience performing root cause analysis and corrective action planning Knowledge / experience evaluating risk when establishing new processes, automated controls, and improvements Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques Knowledge of Configuration Management and control processes Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Demonstrated presentation skills Desired Skills: Experience in optics manufacturing and coating Experience in implementing automated processes and robotic technologies Experience processing material review boards and dispositioning non-conformances Special Process Engineering experience Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product / performance specifications and other systems integration technical data Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) SAP Application experience Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
