Allied Universal is hiring Juvenile Assessment Center Officers. The Juvenile Assessment Center Officer will oversee the process of arrested juveniles to be received, photographed, searched, fingerprinted, running checks for outstanding warrants via FCIC/NCIC and reporting warrant hits to local law enforcement. The JAC Officer shall be trained to effectively communicate, monitor, and control the juvenile's behavior; as well as being trained in juvenile corrections techniques to physically control detained youth. Responsibilities include: overseeing the process of arrested juveniles to be received, photographed, searched, fingerprinted, running checks for outstanding warrants via FCIC/NCIC and reporting warrant hits to local law enforcement; consistently reporting, documenting, logging activities and remaining vigilant in oversight of the juveniles; working closely with other onsite providers to facilitate the flow of information between the in-house agencies as they perform screening and court related functions; making proper notifications for emergency and non-emergency medical response and generating reports on significant issues to include all "Use of Force" incidents. Qualifications must include: a high school diploma or equivalent; service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone; graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field; bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies; a minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch; associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service; be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed); licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment; a valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only; be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors; demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public; effective oral and written communication; problem solving; active listening; assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately; compile, sort, and interpret data; research, investigate, compile information; mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy; write informatively, clearly, and accurately; teamwork; attention to detail. Preferred qualifications include: ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic).
