McNeese State University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registrar to serve as a key administrative leader responsible for the oversight of student records, academic policy implementation, and enrollment services. The Registrar plays a critical role in maintaining the academic and regulatory integrity of the institution and leads initiatives that support the University's enrollment goals. The Registrar is directly responsible for the management of all functional duties performed in the Office of the Registrar, including general responsibility for the integrity and security of the student academic data and the effectiveness and efficiency of the student information system. The Registrar works closely with academic deans, department heads, faculty, staff, and students and is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with constituents both on- and off-campus and ensuring high quality customer service to all patrons. The Registrar will: Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic and operational efforts to achieve institutional enrollment targets. Oversee the maintenance, security, and accuracy of student academic records. Manage course scheduling, registration processes, and enrollment systems. Direct the graduation certification process and degree conferral operations. Ensure compliance with academic policies, FERPA regulations, and accreditation requirements. Oversee the implementation and optimization of student information systems and related technologies. Coordinate the development and publication of the academic calendar and course catalog. Provide guidance and support to students, faculty, and staff regarding academic policies and procedures. Prepare and submit internal and external reports, supporting institutional planning and accountability. Job Duties/Description: Manage all functional duties performed in the Office of the Registrar Ensure the integrity and security of student academic data and the effectiveness and efficiency of the student information system Work closely with academic deans, department heads, faculty, staff, and students and build and maintain positive relationships with constituents both on- and off-campus Work closely with technical staff to effectively implement and maintain the student information system, Ellucian Ensure the security, integrity, and accuracy of student records and data in compliance with FERPA, university policies, and state and federal reporting requirements Hire, train, motivate, supervise, and evaluate staff in accordance with federal, state, system, and University policies and regulations Coordinate and implement federal, state, system, and institutional academic policies and procedures Collaborate with the Executive Director of Enrollment Management to effectively manage the resources and budget for the Office of Registrar Analyze student data to ensure accuracy, correct data as needed, and prepare statistical reports for government, educational, and administrative uses Analyze enrollment data, and with Enrollment Management staff, collaboratively develop goals and strategies to increase enrollment, retention rates, and graduation rates Analyze data for submission to reporting agencies such as National Clearinghouse Develop the University's academic calendar and registration timelines with input from faculty and staff Serve as the University's data custodian and resource for FERPA-related issues Provide leadership, participation, guidance, and information while serving on University committees and panels Supervise grade and grade change processing and resolution of grade-related issues Supervise student registration, assist as needed to resolve registration-related issues, and recommend changes to registration policies and procedures when deemed necessary Supervise the degree audit process and the preparation of materials for commencement Supervise the preparation and verification of the online class schedule Oversee the transfer articulation process, the production and distribution of transcripts, and the verification of enrollment and degrees awarded Process grade changes including conversion of I grades after deadlines; grade forgiveness, degree certifications Assist with Scribe and Degree Works changes as needed Comply with regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the Louisiana National Guard regarding the certification of athletes, veterans, and National Guard students; serve as a certifying school official for NCAA and VA Maintain competency with respect to knowledge of NCAA rules, ensure compliance with NCAA rules, and report to the Compliance Coordinator any knowledge of violation of NCAA, Southland Conference, and/or institutional rules; understand that actions that violate NCAA rules will result in disciplinary or corrective actions as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures Maintain scanned student records and processes regarding electronic document management system Train faculty and staff with regard to the student information system, registration, class scheduling, grading, and degree audit Complete all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director of Enrollment Management Required/Preferred Qualifications

Required Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution Results-driven, strong customer focus, and commitment to collaborative teamwork Outstanding judgment and keen understanding of the motivations and needs of others High level of energy, enthusiasm, and motivation Persuasive communication and presentation skills Effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills Ability to produce positive results from internal and external constituents Ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints and prioritize competing tasks Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Ability to effectively motivate, manage, and supervise employees and student workers Ability to interpret and analyze data Willingness to travel A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record Preferred Master's or doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution Three years of successful management and supervisory experience Experience in admissions, registrar, or enrollment management at an institution of higher education Experience with Ellucian Banner Experience with Degree Works and Scribe General University Information
