The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services and offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and ECT services for adults. The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric, and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. Job Duties
Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management. Provide assessment of patients psychiatric and medical status. Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team. Document nursing care, treatment, and patients response to treatment. Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions. Benefit Highlights

Qualifications
Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associates Degree) required. BSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required. Minimum of one (1) year related experience required. Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred. Current Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, and CPR Certification required (can be obtained upon hire). Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM / Week 2: M & Tu 9 AM - 5 PM Hours: Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM /Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (Rotating Weekends Required) EEO Statement
