Special Education Support Staff - Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 (CEC Program)
Location: Lancaster & Lebanon Counties, PA Schedule Options: Shift 1: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday-Friday, 30-minute unpaid break) Shift 2: 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM (Monday-Friday, 30-minute unpaid break) Grade Levels: Elementary, Middle, or High School (assignments based on candidate preference) Position Overview: This role involves providing academic and behavioral support to students with a range of disabilities, under the guidance of a case manager or behaviorist. Candidates will assist in implementing individualized education plans and supporting students with daily living tasks. Key Responsibilities: Provide small group or one-on-one instruction in areas such as cognitive skills, motor development, self-help, and behavior management. Support students with personal care needs including feeding, toileting, hygiene, and mobility. Monitor and manage student behavior in accordance with established plans. Assist with physical development activities and use of orthopedic equipment. Maintain records of student progress and collaborate with teachers and specialists. Prepare students for integration into mainstream classrooms. Attend required training sessions and in-services. Foster positive social interactions and implement behavior intervention strategies. Clearance Requirements (Must be current within the past year): Arrest/Conviction Report (Act 24 of 2011) PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34 of 1985) FBI Fingerprints (Act 114 of 2006) PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151 of 1994) Child abuse training valid for 5 years Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168 of 2014) TB Test (must be within the last 90 days)
