Social Justice Coordinator, Tufts Hillel (Part-Time)

Tufts Hillel is seeking a reliable, organized, and socially engaged professional to join our team as the Social Justice Coordinator. This part-time role supports the educational and community-based justice programming that distinguishes Tufts Hillel's commitment to civic responsibility and inclusion. The Coordinator will help implement weekly programs, serve as an adult presence in classroom spaces, and manage logistics related to immersive trips and academic partnerships. This role is for 8 hours per week, while school is in session with most work taking place in the late afternoons and evenings. The ideal candidate is a warm, proactive team player who thrives in dynamic learning environments and believes deeply in the power of education and relationship-building to create positive change. What You'll Do

Attend weekly 60 minute planning/debrief meeting with supervisor

Support Sunday evening (4:30-7:30pm) ESOL program (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

Attend Thursday evening Building Bridges class (6:008:00pm)

Coordinate logistics for a NYC immersive learning trip

Provide administrative support for Building Bridges and Gesher academic programs, including:

Liaising with Tufts' Experimental College and Judaic Studies departments

Assisting with enrollment, grades, and general correspondence What You'll Bring to the Job

Knowledge and skills typically acquired through a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

Comfortable in dynamic, student-facing environments

Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and basic office software

Availability to work Sundays and Thursday evenings on campus What You'll Receive

Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The hourly rate for this role is $20-24 commensurate on experience.
