Framing Superintendent
The Framing Superintendent will supervise self-perform framing and siding activities on large projects ranging in size from $50MM to $150MM for overall projects, and $5MM to $20MM specifically for framing and siding. The role includes managing work from mobilization and project set-up through to demobilization and project closeout, ensuring the work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality specifications. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the wood framing and siding process ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion. Manage a crew of framers/siders, coordinate material/panel delivery, and verify adherence to contract documents and building codes. Perform framing and building layout and verify field dimensions. Project scheduling and framing crew management to plan, develop, implement, oversee, and verify framing/siding sequence of work. Oversee and monitor project progress against milestone schedules and identify and remedy potential schedule delays and impacts. Develop and manage site logistics and material/equipment deliveries. Evaluate material and equipment usage to minimize waste and ensure efficient and safe handling. Inspect framing/siding work daily to ensure compliance with building codes, contract documents, and project specifications. Verify proper installation of all framing/siding products including fabricated wall panels, studs, joists, beams, trusses, and siding. Address and document any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions. Conduct safety meetings with framing/siding crews to address potential hazards. Conduct daily morning huddles to review daily crew assignments, safety, schedule, and quality tasks and milestones. Communicate and document effectively with all members of the project team including project managers, project engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors. Prepare for and attend weekly coordination meetings. Resolve conflicts within the crew and address performance issues. Ensure quality program including proper installation, backout, punchlist, and general quality management. Essential Skills
Ten years of building construction experience. Five years of carpentry experience. Knowledge of framing and siding scopes of work, methods, and techniques. Ability to read, understand, and follow construction documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings. Experience using equipment and tools (power and hand) required for framing/siding work. Proficient in project scheduling and framing crew management. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
First Aid / CPR certification. Aerial Lift / Scissor Lift / Forklift certification (if applicable). Competent Person in Scaffolding and Fall Protection. Why Work Here?
