Senior Manufacturing Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in our engineering team, focusing on the entire product lifecycle. This position involves overseeing new product introductions, optimizing existing processes, and requalifying legacy products within a regulated machining environment. Our operations utilize advanced manufacturing technologies, including multi-axis CNC milling, EDM (both wire and sinker), and 5-axis grinding. Responsibilities: Develop and refine manufacturing processes for intricate precision components using advanced CNC milling, EDM, and grinding techniques. Act as a primary technical liaison for major OEM clients, handling engineering communications and change management effectively. Lead efforts in process validation and requalification of existing products while ensuring adherence to established timelines. Design machining strategies that enhance quality, efficiency, and tool longevity. Work collaboratively with Quality, Operations, and Tooling teams as well as external vendors to deliver scalable production solutions. Conduct thorough root cause analysis to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvements. Mentor junior engineers and provide training to operators on implementing new or updated processes. Support CAD/CAM programming and simulation using tools such as Mastercam, Vericut, and SolidWorks. Participate in audits, first article inspections (FAI), and prepare documentation packages such as PPAP/FAI. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 510+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally within aerospace, energy, automotive, or medical device sectors. Proficient in multi-axis CNC milling, EDM, and complex grinding processes. Strong expertise in CAD/CAM platforms including Mastercam and SolidWorks. Ability to interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical documents. Proven track record in customer-facing engineering roles. Familiarity with quality management systems like ISO 9001 or AS9100. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-temperature alloy machining (e.g., Inconel, Hastelloy). Background in legacy product requalification or reverse engineering. Knowledge of Haas CNC controls. Certification or training in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
