Job Duties: Maintains and repairs all package sorting and container handling equipment in the hub and in field stations; maintains all electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures In addition to general facility taskings and assignments. Minimum Education:

High school diploma/GED Minimum Experience:

Six (6) years experience, of which 24 months being as a FedEx sort systems technician, or 24 months of maintenance on similar equipment/systems, as a commercial/industrial maintenance technician with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic & materials handling systems maintenance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures. Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy sort related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good interpersonal and oral communications skills. Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground level. Job Conditions:

Must be willing to work odd work weeks, o/t, holidays & rotating shifts. The ability to obtain an industrial maintenance electrician (limited) license. Valid driver's license required.
