Project Support Specialist - Newark, NJ (Hybrid)
Join our Clean Energy Solutions (CES) team and play a key role in advancing Energy Efficiency, Electric Vehicles, and Solar initiatives. As a
Project Support Specialist , you'll provide essential technical and analytical support to ensure smooth business processes and successful program delivery. This is a 12 month contract (extension poissible) opportunity based in Newark, NJ, with a hybrid schedule (currently 2 days onsite, moving to 3 days in the fall).
Project Support Specialist Responsibilities Prepare and post invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain clear vendor communication regarding payments. Create and process purchase requisitions, change orders, and journal entries. Conduct QA/QC calls with customers to verify vendor-completed work for CES programs. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including variance analysis, ad hoc reporting, and investment recovery revenue processing. Maintain the CES training catalog and matrix, assign trainings, and track completion records. Monitor vendor project commitments and prepare reports. Assist with CES-wide initiatives such as the Intern Program, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and All Hands meetings. Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned. Required:
Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of financial administrative experience. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills. Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and resolve invoicing issues. Adaptability and collaborative team approach. Desired:
Experience with contracts, Ariba, SAP, Catalyst, etrack+, and emPower. Strong analytical skills and stakeholder communication abilities. Eagerness to take on challenges and expand responsibilities.
