Duties and responsibilities. Essential job functions: Good time management and multi-tasking skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking skills. Utilizing presentation applications (PowerPoint, Teams, or other presentation tools). Experience in the creation of lesson plans and power point presentations and/or training development. Established experience in using Microsoft Office Suite software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience in customer support (answering customer problems and inquiry calls; performing first level problem determination and resolution; provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations) management and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work independently and execute job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Ability to complete and follow self-paced instructions and trainings. Physical requirements: The incumbent will occasionally be required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel. Occasionally light lifting/or moving boxes or supplies may be required. Work environment: This position requires the incumbent to work in an office setting which includes shared office space with other professionals. Note: This position may require some travel and operating a state vehicle. A valid Georgia driver's license is required. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Criminal Justice Training Spec 1: ($48,379.30) High School diploma or GED AND completion of 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours in criminal justice or a related field. AND Six (6) months of classroom teaching/training experience in the area of GCIC Applications, NCIC System and CJIS Network Operations. Criminal Justice Training Spec 2: ($50,798.26) High school diploma or GED AND completion of 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours in criminal justice or a closely related field. AND Georgia Peace Officer Standard Training (POST) Instructor Certification. AND Two (2) years of experience in the use of criminal justice information systems such as GCIC Applications, NCIC System and CJIS Network OR One (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Criminal Justice Training Specialist 1 (PSP140) or position equivalent. Criminal Justice Training Spec 3: ($54,608.13) High School diploma or GED AND completion of 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours in criminal justice or a related field. AND Georgia Peace Officer Standard Training (POST) Instructor Certification. AND Three (3) years of experience in the use of criminal justice information systems such as GCIC Applications, NCIC System and CJIS Network OR One (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Criminal Justice Training Specialist 2 (PSP141) or position equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis. Preferred qualifications: Experience as a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Network Operator Certification as a Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) Experience in the use of NCIC/GCIC applications and programs Experience training/delivering instructions on the use of criminal justice information systems (GCIC Applications, NCIC System and CJIS Network) in a general teacher/trainer classroom environment Experience training/delivering instructions on the use of criminal justice information systems (GCIC Applications, NCIC System and CJIS Network) in a virtual environment Supplemental Information
