Job Summary
The Division of Student Affairs is seeking creative and motivated marketing student assistants to support marketing and communication efforts that promote campus life, student events, university resources, and more. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and student engagement strategy. Responsibilities:
Create engaging social media content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) for official Student Affairs channels Assist with the design and scheduling of email newsletters and campaigns Update and maintain departmental web pages with timely and accurate information Attend campus events to capture photos, videos, and social media coverage Collaborate with team members on marketing strategies and campaign ideas Support daily office operations and complete additional duties as assigned Applicants will be required to submit sample social media content captions and media related to a Campus Life event.
Required Qualifications
Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average. Strong writing, communication, and creative thinking skills Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) Ability to meet deadlines and work independently and with a team Reliable and able to work evenings and weekends on occasion. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred Knowledge of or interest in photography/videography is a plus Physical Requirements
May have to lift up to 20 lbs and needs to be able to stand for long periods of time. Required Documents to Attach
