Aerotek Facilities Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities: Monitor, maintain, and perform minor repairs, maintenance, and improvements. Perform plumbing, welding, carpentry, sheetrock, drywall, mudding, painting, and general lighting upkeep. Read, interpret, and implement work orders. Utilize a CMMS (work order) system effectively. Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and via email. Embrace safety in all work performed. Problem-solve, troubleshoot, and utilize resources to accomplish tasks. Accurately track and store the department's inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment. Support continuous improvement within all departments. Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on-site. Possess basic electrical knowledge for lighting both interior and exterior. Maintain all rack and guard railing. Understand pneumatic systems. Perform preventative maintenance tasks using tools and equipment. Assist Conveyor Maintenance Technicians in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment. Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on forklift batteries. Execute other duties as assigned. Comfort with heights and use of boom lifts Work Environment: This role requires work in a clean distribution facility with extensive walking due to its size. Maintenance staff will use motorized vehicles for tools and gear. Candidates must be comfortable with heights up to 30 feet, using harnesses, railings, platforms, and lifts. The facility is temp-controlled on the production side, while the warehouse/stock area is non-temp controlled, requiring flexibility in working conditions. Work shifts include Sunday to Wednesday nights and Wednesday to Saturday nights, with specified hours. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.10 - $24.48/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
