Chief Corporate Development Officer

The Chief Corporate Development Officer (CCDO) will lead strategic growth initiatives across the healthcare ecosystem through M&A, partnerships, and investments. This executive will drive inorganic growth by identifying and executing high-impact deals involving payers, providers, digital health, and life sciences. The role requires deep healthcare industry expertise, strong financial and strategic acumen, and a proven track record in complex deal-making and integration. Success will be measured by the quality of executed deals, alignment with enterprise strategy, and long-term value creation. Key Responsibilities: Corporate Development & M&A: Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of strategic acquisitions, divestitures, investments, and partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities aligned with organizational goals in areas such as care delivery, population health, health tech, and specialty services. Source high-quality deals by developing a deep understanding of the operating model, integration needs, and value drivers to ensure strategic fit and maximize outcomes. Assess viability and economic modeling to ensure alignment with current and potential offerings and/or revenue generating opportunities. Manage deal processes from start to finish, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and post-merger integration. Healthcare Strategy & Innovation: Collaborate with the executive team to shape corporate strategy, identifying emerging trends in digital health, telemedicine, AI in diagnostics, and value-based care. Evaluate new business models and innovations in health delivery, financing, and patient engagement. Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis to support strategic planning and growth. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development: Forge strategic alliances and joint ventures with health systems, payers, tech companies, and academic/research institutions. Develop and manage relationships with venture capital and private equity firms focused on healthcare innovation. Act as a senior ambassador for the company in external deal and partnership discussions. Cross-Functional Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing corporate development team with expertise in healthcare strategy, finance, and operations. Collaborate with clinical, operational, legal, regulatory, and technology teams to ensure alignment and compliance in deal execution. Lead enterprise change management efforts related to corporate development initiatives, ensuring alignment, communication, and adoption across all levels of the organization. Prepare and present business cases and updates to the executive leadership team and board.
