Summary:
The
Auto Body Technician
will perform high-quality collision repairs on a variety of vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Duties & Responsibilities: Review repair orders and perform assigned body and collision work efficiently and accurately Repair or replace damaged panels, fenders, bumpers, and related components Perform structural and frame repairs in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards Sand, grind, and prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing Mix and apply body fillers, primers, and other repair materials to meet quality specifications Collaborate with estimators and the Body Shop Manager to identify additional repairs needed Document all work performed in repair order system promptly and accurately Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean, safe, and proper working condition Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal and safety procedures Conduct final inspections to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations Qualifications
Minimum 1+ years
of body shop or collision center repair experience Ability to perform structural and non-structural repairs to manufacturer specifications Proficient with repair tools, equipment, and safety procedures Valid driver's license with a good driving record Must be authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug test, and MVR) Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of body shop or collision center repair experience I-CAR, ASE, or OEM collision repair certifications Experience with GM vehicles (Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac) Additional Information
Compensation (Flat-Rate: Hourly): $18.00 - $22.00 / hour
Based on experience, certifications, and skill level
Tenure Bonus Program:
Starting at 6 months, earn up to $3.50/hour on every flat-rate hour turned Bonus increases with tenure and is paid annually
