Maintenance Pipefitter For NL Facility
Department 504 is seeking a Maintenance Pipefitter for NL Facility. In this role, duties include, but are not limited to the following: Perform maintenance and repairs on all building HVAC equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs on methane exhaust blower system. Perform planned maintenance and periodic testing of building HVAC systems including managing and implementing the filter change-out program. Support fire equipment and systems testing and inspections. Perform maintenance and repair on all refrigeration and freezer equipment (including kitchen equipment). Perform maintenance and repair on chillers, cooling towers and duel-fuel boilers. Monitor and manage water chemistry in boiler water, condensate and chilled water systems. Be available after normal working hours, weekends and holidays to respond to emergent situations at the facility when requested by Chief Engineer or their designate. Support other maintenance personnel in the performance of their duties. Complete Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) entries and assist in ordering maintenance consumables and repair parts. Escort and provide oversight of maintenance vendors in the performance of their contracted duties. Ensure all EB safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, security and fire life safety rules and regulations are followed by vendors and co-workers. Required: HS Diploma or GED OR 2 or more years of related technical experience. 5+ years in the pipefitter maintenance field Experience with cooling and heating in a commercial environment S-2 license Preferred: 8+ years experience with HVAC systems (P-2, F-2) Backflow Physical Qualifications: Climbing Color Vision Crawling Heavy Lifting Kneeling Light Lifting Medium Lifting Pulling Pushing Reaching Stooping Twisting Environmental Attributes: Acids or Alkalis Cold Dry Dusty Fumes Hot Inside Noise Oily Outside Wet
