Manages numerous and complex schedules and templates for service requested. Efficiently manages and coordinates the overall scheduling of medical procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimal patient wait times. Utilizes financial and clinical information technology programs for scheduling, documentation, and managing patient information. Acts as a primary point of contact for patients, providing clear information regarding their scheduled procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Proactively identifies and resolves scheduling conflicts, patient inquiries, and other issues that may arise, maintaining a high level of customer service. Collaborates effectively with physicians and nursing staff to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding patient needs, procedure preparations, and follow-up care. Utilizes clinical knowledge to document and relay clinical information to patients, including appropriately utilizing clinical protocols within the scope of practice. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents. Required Qualifications
Two (2) years of scheduling, clerical, office, or healthcare-related work experience. One of the following certifications or licensures: Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA); or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or Medical Assistant (NCMA) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); or Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA); or Missouri Board of Nursing LPN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state LPN. Preferred Qualifications
Scheduling experience in a hospital or clinic environment is highly preferred. Clinic experience in CMA or LPN role. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. Physical Demands
