Working Capital Finance (WCF), a specialized finance group within Wholesale, Corporate and Investment Banking (WCIB), provides a range of working capital finance solutions for corporate, commercial and institutional clients nationwide including Asset Based Finance and Trade & Working Capital (including open account supply chain finance and cross-border solutions). WCF is also newly mandated with governing the Standby Letter of Credit product solution set based on its subject matter expertise in Letters of Credit. In line with U.S. Bank strategic priorities, we have a transformational opportunity to enhance and scale the delivery of existing WCF solutions as well as develop and launch new products and features. Our work is led from the client's perspective with the primary goals of achieving cost-efficient revenue growth, best-in-class customer experience, enhanced risk management and operational excellence. With several transformational and product enhancements underway, we have an excellent opportunity for the right product leader to join the WCF Product Management team to provide product management and go to market execution leadership for our Business Intelligence Team which supports data management, reporting and data analytics. The Head of Business Intelligence will be the primary product leader for data, reporting and analytics across the full set of Working Capital Finance products. Reporting to the head of product management for Working Capital Finance, incumbent will be responsible for leading our platform and technology teams to develop, own and execute a roadmap that enables us to drive operational excellence, leverage data to inform our strategy and deliver data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders to help achieve desired outcomes. Incumbent will be expected to develop and maintain a data hierarchy, taxonomy, storage, transfer and retention strategy to enable WCF to achieve its growth goals. Incumbent will also engage with internal, enterprise data management partners and with customers to understand their needs and incorporate learnings into the business intelligence strategy. Finally, incumbent will provide technology and innovation leadership for WCF, and manage technology budgets, vendor contracts and relationships. This role could be based in any WCIB primary hub location, including but not limited to Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Charlotte and New York. Key Responsibilities: Product Profitability Product Strategy, Vision and Planning via market and competitive insights, customer needs, and internal business priorities. Align strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders to develop product roadmap, product risk, investment areas and success measures. Product Development Channel Alignment and Management Customer Experience, Research, Insight and Execution Go To Market and Sales Performance Measurement and Optimization Marketing and Analytics Lead the product management function for the Business Intelligence team. Strengthen, standardize, and simplify the existing delivery of WCF data, reporting and analytics. Lead and own the development and execution of the product delivery roadmap Lead and own the execution of product delivery enhancement and expansion efforts Provide product subject matter expertise and execution leadership on WCF's business platform development and transformation initiatives Forge a strong partnership with the sales, execution, underwriting and operations teams. Build and foster strong partnerships within the industry including but not limited to functional counterparts, industry groups, fintechs, vendors, and external counsel. Be part of the deal team as a technical specialist as needed, to help win new mandates. Expert in the product set including customer knowledge, technical components and key business rules Grows others into product experts, is empowering and encouraging Owns all aspects of the product from features to technical debt and overall health Responsible for ensuring the experience is tested and optimized Creates and refines user stories with acceptance criteria with the team Owns creating and tracking outcomes for the product Owns and drives development of OKRs, outlooks, roadmaps and metrics with the team Owns and drives prioritization at the team and product level Owns and drives funding and tracking of value/costs for product Owns and drives release management and all governance with risk partners Owns and drives discovery, optimization, experimentation and testing with the team Leads product demos to elicit feedback from stakeholders, users and customers Grows and gains technical acumen and is responsible for the technical health of the product Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. Ten or more years of related work experience. Required Skills/Experience: Product and technical expertise in any/all aspects of working capital finance Proven experience in developing and commercializing working capital finance solutions start-to-end Strong understanding of established and emerging trade finance structures and the end-to-end flows Demonstrated skills of leading cross-functional product management and development initiatives Experience with both strategic planning and execution and delivery of results Ability to communicate and simplify complex information to team members and senior leaders Experience in building strong internal relationships and influencing all levels of the organization Sound understanding of how emerging and established technologies and platforms can be utilized and commercialized to enhance the portfolio management and delivery of working capital finance solutions Experience using Jira, Dragonboat, Mural or other product management tools Grows others into product experts, is empowering and encouraging Experienced data management architect Preferred Skills/Experience: Subject matter expertise in Working Capital product solutions Technical expertise in fintech solutions commonly used in Working Capital Finance Direct business development and sales experience Legal, credit underwriting, compliance or other risk management experience Customer service and onboarding experience UX design experience Prior experience in developing and commercializing RWA relief structures and tools Proven experience in effectively and strategically leveraging credit insurance to enhance existing solutions and develop new ones strengthen our suite of working capital finance solutions The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
