Maintenance Planner

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner for our First Quality Baby Products located in Macon, GA. This position will be responsible for improving workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, tools and equipment, permissions, specialized documentation and equipment access. Primary Responsibilities Include: Plans and schedules all maintenance work performed in assigned area. Develops and maintains detailed documentation with attention to build and maintain an essential and successful preventive/predictive maintenance program. Principal contact person between maintenance department and all other plant departments to coordinate needs, improvements, and planning. Manages and maintains all data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS program) and the Parts Tracking Portal for all manufacturing lines and support equipment ensuring equipment reliability. Observes and records repetitive or isolated failures / changes in the performance of production line equipment and support components. Identifies trends and irregularities and adjusts accordingly through inspections and standard PM items. Responsible for long-range as well as short-range planning. Examines all work requests and determines validity, accuracy, job scope and best way to accomplish the work via Pre-PM, during PM, or other scheduled time. Once a job scope has been planned; acquires all parts, materials, and special tools needed to complete job. Coordinates all planned work orders with Maintenance, Process, Production, and any other appropriate department. Attends production meetings to coordinate work order backlog with the appropriate department/personnel so that all work requiring downtime can be scheduled on a planned condition. Schedules a full day's work for all daily work schedules and planned outages. Maintains a manageable work order backlog and completes all work orders in CMMS in a timely manner. Assists in development and implementation of Preventative Maintenance routes and Predictive Maintenance, to include Lubrication routes. Maintains a list of planned work orders requiring downtime so that some or all can be performed in the event of unscheduled downtime. Assists maintenance and production management in periodically analyzing costs and, where necessary, recommends corrective action needed to reduce maintenance costs. Keeps the maintenance supervisor properly informed on all abnormal or critical situations. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess The Following: Associates Degree in Applied Science or equivalent degree; Or min 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems such as INFOR, SAP or EAM. Advanced mechanical knowledge. Able to read blueprints and shop drawings. Adequate craft knowledge to estimate labor and materials and to visualize the job to be performed. Good oral/written communication skills. Good administrative and mathematical skills with willingness to handle paperwork. Have a good working knowledge of personal computers. Good planning and organizational skills. Understanding of the proper use of work orders, priorities, scheduling, etc. Ability to keep multiple jobs in a controlled motion simultaneously. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Ability to direct others and work in a team atmosphere Strong PC Skills capable of trending performance results into Charts and Graphs.
