The Director of Pricing at Popeyes is a strategic leadership role focused on developing and executing pricing strategies that drive profitable sales growth. This individual will blend analytical rigor with a deep understanding of the restaurant and QSR landscape to develop innovative, insight-driven pricing architecture tailored to the Popeyes brand. The Director of Pricing Strategy will lead the brands pricing strategy and work as a liaison between an external/internal team and franchisees. In addition to pricing execution and oversight, the ideal candidate will own byproducts of pricing, such as COGS allocation and Profitability results. This position is based in Miami, FL and is in the office 5 days a week. Role & Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end pricing strategy development, from competitive benchmarking to recommendation and execution. Create data-driven pricing frameworks for value menu, premium offerings, LTOs, and bundled products. Collaborate with external pricing and analytics vendors to ensure high-quality execution and data delivery. Automate and implement existing and/or new pricing architecture rules across the brand through close FZ partnerships. Deliver technical analyses (i.e., test vs control analyses, clustering models) to various audiences. Partner with marketing, operations and franchisee teams to assess pricing efficacy and promotional campaigns. Recommend prompt course of action and drive implementation. Conduct in-depth elasticity modeling and margin impact analysis using transactional and guest behavior data. Manage menu pricing rollouts across markets, ensuring alignment with franchisees and field operations. Develop and maintain pricing and profitability dashboards and KPIs in collaboration with analytics and finance teams. Integrate pricing strategies with digital and delivery channel innovation. Monitor macroeconomic and competitive dynamics to inform proactive pricing actions. Conduct check decomposition analysis to understand transaction-level pricing drivers, including mix, incidence, and guest behavior shifts. Identify national trends and opportunities through root cause analysis and drive proactive pricing solutions. Leverage macroeconomic trends that impact our business to recommend the brands optimal pricing position and deliver recommendations to the Leadership Team. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred). 8+ years of analytics, pricing, marketing, finance or consulting experience. Proficiency in MS Office, Data Visualization (Tableau), SQL, Python, or R for data modeling and statistical analysis. Proven track record of predictive modeling, machine learning, and forecasting techniques. Deep understanding of menu engineering, promotional pricing, and consumer value perception in QSR. Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing analytics teams. Industry experience in retail, food service, or QSR is highly preferred. Strong command of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
