Your work will support the dissemination of vital information across the nuclear enterprise. This position is located in Albuquerque, NM. The objective of this requirement is to procure support services to maintain and manage nuclear stockpile related data and materials data in support of the Nuclear Enterprise Directorate, Nuclear Logistics & Operations Department (NE-NL) of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). This project requires dedicated and disciplined personnel who shall serve as DTRAs "trusted agent," both internally and externally, in support of DTRA NE-NL. Your future duties and responsibilities: Draft and edit publications for the Joint Nuclear Weapons Publications System (JNWPS), adhere to style manuals, and resolve content issues. Provide editorial support for meetings and maintain publication tracking systems. Utilize software tools like Adobe FrameMaker and Illustrator. Provide Technical Writing and Editing expertise. This requirement includes, but is not limited to, providing administrative and technical support for the NE-NL Logistics & Maintenance Division (NLMJ), Joint Nuclear Weapons Publications System (JNWPS) Team. Specific requirements include: Adhering to the requirements in the Government Printing Office Style Manual, JNWPS Continuity Book, and Technical Publication 1-1. Drafting and editing publications to be included in JNWPS. Providing draft publications for the Comment and Review, Consolidating Comments, and Final Product Review processes. Assisting in the resolution of issues with JNWPS content. Working effectively with JNWPS management in the completion of work assignments. Providing project officer(s) the necessary assistance during the Comment and Review, Consolidating Comments, and Final Product Review processes. Creating and providing in house documentation such as checklists, various logs (e.g., SIPR, DIAMONDS, and Customer Conversation logs), and quality assurance checks. Uploading technical publications in DIAMONDS. Preparing, reproducing, distributing, and tracking media products. Interfacing and coordinating with JNWPS counterparts at organizations both inside and outside DTRA. Initiating and updating reference and How to... materials; documenting conversations when requested. Submitting trouble tickets when required/requested. Providing editorial support for meetings and correspondence assignments. Conducting CD burn and distribution requirements via ARL Safe. Maintaining Publication Requirement Table for all accounts. Maintaining Technical Publication tracking system. Detail oriented, highly organized, and task driven. Excellent time management skills and ability to function independently. Experienced with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 6 years of performing similar requirements and a BA/BS degree. 8 years of demonstrated experience with a High School Diploma. DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) experience required. DTRA (Defense Threat Reduction Agency) experience required. Detail-oriented with strong editing skills. Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Excellent time management abilities and ability to function independently. Experience in drafting and editing technical publications. Ability to adhere to Government Printing Office Style Manual and JNWPS guidelines. Clearance Required: Current DoD SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance. Education Requirement: Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or a HS Diploma with 8 years of relevant experience. Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $90,200.00 - $135,200.00.
