With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation You will, with guidance, perform tasks associated with the upgrade and splicing of Cables (710 Splicing) You will install/repair lines in trenches and/or pedestals using various hand tools You will assemble equipment according to design specifications Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records Other duties as assigned What you'll need

To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card Six months of copper splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry 1-2 or more years of experience on outside plant or system installations while working from blueprints, specifications, and documentation Must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week. May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call Other duties as assigned Additional qualifications

Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred Physical abilities & exposures

Routinely:

operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds. Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low. The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding or stooping while on shift. Occasionally:

work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse

Salary Range $25 - $37 / hour
