Compensation: Starting at $24.00 (Depends on Experience)
Summary:
The primary functions of the Customer Service personnel will be under direction to track and report weekly, overall planning, order statuses of assigned activities for the company. Customer Service will be responsible for all communication between the customers, inside sales, and manufacturing operations. The candidate will work strategically with the Sales Manager and Operations ensure on time delivery and essential communications regarding all orders as needed. The individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office and related programs, possess strong analytical abilities, professional business ethic and comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status requests and product information requests. Attend weekly production meetings and update ERP as well as customers as required for any changes. Process customer orders, changes, or requests according to established department policies and procedures. Establish and maintain digital project folders in a highly organized manner. Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns. Will work with accounting department on credit approval process as directed by management. Participate on cross-functional teams to solve business issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Recommend improved strategies to communicate company resources to customers, purchasing, inside sales, quality, and manufacturing. Qualifications:
Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of customer service or sales experience; preferably within the gear, gearbox, or other power transmission related fields. Proven experience in customer service and order processing. Considerable ability to give clear and consistent updates and instructions to team members. Outstanding communication skills are required to interact with all departments and customers. Must follow all safety requirements of the organization. Excellent time management skills. Readily accessible, punctual and resourceful with the ability to work beyond the normal business hours, including weekends Able to work flexible hours with some travel (estimated 10%) to OCG Chicagoland facilities as required by the job. Performance Measures:
