Patient Service Representative- Cortland Urgent Care- Per diem- Days/Evenings

Patient Services Representative is a unique position that varies daily based on the clinical or clerical staffing needs of the practice. Duties often include supporting the physicians and/or mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care as well as assisting patients and staff with the administrative and clerical needs of the practice.
Roles and Responsibilities: Check in patients upon arrival Verify/update patient demographics Collect outstanding balances and co-pays Take messages and triage phone calls Verifying insurances Required Skills and Experience:
High school education or equivalent life experience Preferred Skills and Experience:
Previous medical office experience College-level training/education in a healthcare support field Previous EMR use/training Physical Requirements:
90% sitting 10% standing Location and Travel Requirements:
Onsite at Cortland Urgent Care center: 1129 Commons Ave, Cortland, NY 13045 Shift: Monday through Friday; center is open 7:30am - 7:30pm 0% Travel can be expected in this role Pay Range Disclosure:
Standard rate of $19.50 - $23.00 per hour with benefits
