The Opportunity This position works out of our Plymouth location in the Electrophysiology Medical Device division. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. This role serves as a critical finance business advisor and partner for EP R&D leadership. Provides sound business counsel and enables the strategic vision of the business unit by advocating spending as an investment, not an expense. Effectively balances business unit investment needs/ROI with division/corporate investment needs/ROI. Interprets root causes to issues and actively seeks solutions to problems through sound financial analysis. Brings the numbers to life through forecast accuracy and presentation of financial information to non-financial audiences. Focuses on business strategies to achieve goals rather than report outcomes. Continuously ensures organizational alignment on key action items. What You'll Work On R&D RLBE process - coordinate planning with functional heads, prepare and maintain data collection templates, prepare and maintain entity submission templates, prepare and present RLBE summaries to BU leadership. Update/maintain HFM data models. R&D and Global Marketing RLBE process - coordinate planning with global marketing team, prepare and maintain data collection template, prepare and maintain entity submission template, prepare and present RLBE summaries to VP of Global Marketing. R&D monthly performance process - Update HFM data models, analyze results and prepare summaries for BU leadership. Global Marketing monthly performance process - Analyze and summarize results for Global Marketing team. Prepare two versions, one with wages and one without wages. NPVs/ROIs for new products in development - work with marketing, operations and PMO to quantify P&L impacts. Understand, quantify and communicate potential cannibalization impacts. Prepare slides for portfolio review meetings and gate reviews with BU leadership. Adhoc Requests Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree ( 16 years) in Accounting/Finance or a related field Minimum 7 years experience Preferred Qualifications 15+ years of FP&A experience 5+ years of management experience Master's degree CPA Experience supporting R&D Med device/healthcare industry experience The base pay for this position is $97,300.00
