Adjunct Instructor

The University of New Hampshire's Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach in our Accounting/Finance department. Adjunct appointments are on a course-by-course basis; renewal may be possible depending on department needs and teaching performance. The Peter T. Paul College is a nationally ranked and AACSB accredited business school in the state of New Hampshire with world-class academic programs in business administration, economics, and hospitality management. The College has about 100 full-time faculty, approximately 2,400 students in our undergraduate majors, several hundred undergraduate minors, and over 300 students in graduate programs, including MBA (full-time and online), MS Accounting, MS Finance, MS Business Analytics, and MS and Ph.D. in Economics. Paul College faculty and students enjoy a state-of-the-art facility with 115,000 square feet of space and high-tech classrooms, a behavioral research laboratory, and breakout meeting rooms. Duties/Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging course content in the assigned course(s), consistent with curricular guidance provided by the department chair and/or course coordinator. Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking. Provide at least one scheduled office hour per week, either on campus or online, for each course. Utilize the university's learning management system to make course information, resources, and feedback available to students in a timely manner. Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations in accordance with university policies. Stay current with new developments and resources related to course content. Participate in periodic meetings with college faculty leadership as needed. Requirements Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Applicants should have either a related Master's or Ph.D. degree. A related Bachelor's degree and extensive work experience may substitute for the advanced degree requirement. Experience and interest in training and mentoring young professionals, either formally or informally. The applicant is expected to meet the College's standards for faculty qualifications, typically as an Instructional Practitioner, with respect to AACSB standards. The applicant is expected to be committed to excellent teaching and be engaged in continued professional development/practice. Preferred Qualifications: Prior recent experience in secondary or college-level classroom teaching.
