Volunteer Opportunities at Santee Lakes
Santee Lakes is a 190 acre park and campground located in the city of Santee, California. Just 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, the natural surroundings create a beautiful place to spend your leisure time. With 7 scenic lakes, the park offers many recreational activities including boating, fishing, picnicking, waterfront camping, rental cabins, a sprayground, several playgrounds, and much more. There are also over 5 miles of trails for walking, running, and biking. For the bird watchers; over 200 species of birds call Santee Lakes home as well as several other varieties of wildlife. Our campground has 300 full-hookup camping sites, 300 covered RV storage spaces, 10 rental cabins, a clubhouse, a laundry room, and a pool complex complete with 2 pools and spa. Our volunteer program is essential to Santee Lakes' overall success. Volunteers make up about 50% of our workforce!
