https://www.commonspirit.careers/benefits . Responsibilities: The Mammography/DEXA technologist is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Using accepted techniques and practices the technologist provides high quality screening and diagnostic mammography and DEXA studies; aids and assists physicians and radiologists with stereotactic biopsies needle localization ductography and other image-guided breast procedures; performs bone density osteoporosis screening (DEXA) and breast health education; has excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to educate patients on technical procedures; and provide results in a manner that supports patients who may be anxious about undergoing tests. The technologist will be able to organize and prioritize the daily schedule effectively to ensure that all patients are seen in a timely manner; ensure that all physician-generated orders are entered into the appropriate hospital systems and that documentation is noted to confirm test completion; independently problem-solve troubleshoot and resolve issues and/or patient concerns; provide professional and quality care to patients while following hospital and departmental policies procedures and standards; work collaboratively with clinicians and administrative staff; and perform other related job duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications: Minimum of one year in a full service Mammography Department. BLS certified Computer skills for operation within the RIS/HIS/PACS medical terminology and good communication skills. CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist in MMRT Mammography. ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Fluoroscopy. This position is represented by SEIU.
