Therapist Position At Victory Bay Recovery Center
Therapist will provide clinical services to clients struggling with development of coping skills and emotional regulation. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of minimum 14 clients and facilitating 4 groups weekly. Therapists will meet with clients on a weekly basis and make biweekly contact with family or support members. Key performance indicators include timely documentation, group auditing, treatment planning, quality of care, and chart auditing. Job responsibilities include assessing counseling needs, substance abuse and mental health diagnosis, reviewing previous records, preparing treatment plans, coordinating support services, facilitating interventions, and documenting discharge, individual sessions, weekly calls, level of care changes, group sessions, and treatment plans. Core competencies include group/individual therapy facilitation, documentation & charting, crisis management, treatment planning, and family engagement. Clinical competencies include screening, intake/orientation, assessment, treatment/discharge planning, crisis intervention, counseling, consultation, case management, client education, referral, and report and recordkeeping. Job type is full-time. Required education is an associate licensed therapist. Required experience is 1-3 years working in a treatment facility. Proper knowledge and skills include proper English and grammar, software application related to the field, general office principles and practices, basic computer knowledge, and professional phone and customer service demeanor. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 20-50 lbs, occasional to frequent walking, sitting, standing, driving, and close eye work. Environmental factors include communicable diseases, hot/cold temperatures, and varying environmental conditions. Required licenses or certifications include current CPR certification and Narcan certification.
