Description This Senior Broking position is a leadership role that involves working with colleagues and clients to develop and place builders' risk, inland marine, property, and equipment/installation business focused on the construction industry. Responsibilities include leading project and account placement strategies, identifying and recommending coverage options, carrier negotiations, and presenting proposals to clients and prospects. The role requires providing industry thought leadership and developing new program and product solutions to meet client needs. The Senior Broker must have strong technical knowledge of property/builders' risk, inland marine, and related insurances. The position involves working independently in a busy office environment, visiting clients, and attending industry events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ability to execute complex civil/infrastructure works, including tunneling.
Interpret engineering plans related to civil/infrastructure projects.
Expertise in hazards and coverages specific to civil/infrastructure works.
Identify risk needs of decision makers and prospects, and develop tailored solutions.
Participate actively in industry associations and organizations.
Maintain relationships with carriers and wholesale brokers as the main contact point.
Analyze loss data and actuarial reports to support program design.
Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate coverage and costs with underwriters.
Conduct detailed coverage analysis for prospects and clients.
Collaborate with claims professionals and coverage counsel for complex claims.
Work with Project Risk Solutions team on project-specific programs.
Build and sustain client relationships on a regional and national level.
Develop custom solutions aligned with client business objectives.
Serve as a strategic contact for coverage questions and contract reviews.
Support in producing stewardship reports and pre-renewal strategies for complex accounts.
Organize sales data, develop sales materials, and identify new project opportunities.
Prepare policy coverage and pricing comparisons.
Coordinate with other regional brokers for market intelligence sharing.
Support internal team by understanding and communicating company objectives.
Undertake various duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Strong technical knowledge of builders' risk, inland marine, property, and equipment insurances.
Risk financing expertise.
Ability to clearly present and explain complex insurance programs.
Experience in account management, servicing, placement, and negotiation.
Understanding of the construction insurance marketplace.
Problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.

Education & Licensing Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience preferred.
Home State P&C license and licenses in states of service.
Professional designations (CRIS, CIC, ARM, etc.) are desirable.
Compensation Range $100,000.00 - $250,000.00
