The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). In collaboration with the Medical Director, attending physicians, and fellows, the NP is responsible for providing independent clinical assessment and patient care management services for Hematology/Oncology clinic patients. The incumbent must be self-directed and capable of functioning with minimal supervision. Salary range: $89.06 - $127.19/hour Qualifications

Current CA Licensure as RN and Nurse Practitioner required Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Specialty required NPI #, DEA # required Enrollment in PECOS and CURES required National Certification in NP specialty required 1-2 years of Oncology NP experience preferred Ability to independently prioritize work with minimal supervision required Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals in complex settings required Skills to perform history and physical examinations of oncology patients required Skills to assess and evaluate oncology patients accurately required Skills to develop and implement treatment plans under established protocols and physician supervision required Ability to triage patients accurately based on vital signs and symptoms required Ability to intervene and address patient problems when physicians are unavailable required Clear and concise communication skills for medical records and correspondence required Proficiency with electronic medical records (EHR)/EPIC/CareConnect required Ability to work independently in outpatient settings required Competency in computer use for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases required Extensive knowledge of oncology clinical medicine required Ability to organize, coordinate, and follow complex clinical regimens required Skill in communicating medical information to patients and families required Proficiency in English for reading reports and record-keeping required Ability to maintain confidentiality required Effective interaction and communication with patients, colleagues, and physicians required Teamwork and collaboration skills required Ability to perform under fluctuating workload and interruptions required Skill in delegating work efficiently required Prioritization skills to complete tasks timely and accurately required
