Job Description Description: Highly skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician III - Component Level to join our Service & Repair team. This position is responsible for advanced diagnostics and component-level repairs on modules, computer boards, and peripherals. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in both hardware and software and is committed to delivering high-quality results while meeting customer expectations and turnaround time objectives.
· Perform customer support activities for electronic modules, computer boards, and peripheral equipment, with a focus on meeting standard warranty repair turnaround time of 20 business days. · Conduct through-hole and surface-mount technology (SMT) rework, including fine-pitch SMT on printed circuit boards and modules. · Interpret and utilize wiring block diagrams, assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of material to execute repairs and product upgrades. · Replace SMT components and integrated circuits (ICs) using advanced soldering tools and techniques. · Apply in-depth knowledge of both hardware and software to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on boards and modules. · Perform Product field failure root cause analysis down to the component level on system interface boards (SIBs), power supplies, computer-on-modules (COMe), and other electronic assemblies. Generate clear and detailed field return failure analysis reports, documenting root cause and corrective actions. Requirements:
· Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent technical certification. · Minimum of 5 years’ experience in component-level electronic repair, including SMT and through-hole technology. · Strong oral and written communication skills. · Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electronic assemblies using schematics and diagnostic tools. · Proficient in soldering techniques, including fine-pitch SMT and BGA components. · Experience with diagnostic software, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other bench equipment. · Strong analytical and documentation skills. Ability to consistently produce high-quality failure analysis reports with root cause and corrective actions.
