Remote (preference towards Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Darwin, Perth) About the Role: EHS Support is looking for a Principal Marine Consultant to join our Australia team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with industry leaders, manage complex approvals, and guide clients through high-profile projects. With access to AES’s and EHS Supports national approvals Community, you’ll work on both local and international projects that make a difference. You will work closely with the AES / EHS Support senior leadership to help realise the vision of AES/EHS Support being recognised as a top tier provider of primary and secondary approvals across a diverse range of businesses and industry sectors. Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical proposals and strengthen client relationships through business development. Develop new lines of service delivery leveraging your complementary skills and expertise with the existing AES/EHS team. Assist in the delivery of a high performing national approvals team. Lead environmental impact assessments and complex approvals processes. Manage projects within scope, budget, and quality standards. Mentor junior and mid-level consultants to build their expertise in environmental approvals. Foster collaboration within AES and EHS Supports multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results. What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar. 10+ years of experience in environmental approvals, both primary and secondary. Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships. Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation. Broader experience in environmental management and stakeholder engagement is advantageous. Experience within the oil and gas, offshore, or onshore sectors preferred. Strong written, verbal, and strategic thinking skills.
