Contribute to designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and influence space defense. The selected candidate will support cybersecurity and RMF for the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC), working with military, government, and contractor personnel to provide technical and policy guidance based on DoD policies. The ISSM will act as a SME, lead ISSOs, and liaise between end users, developers, and leadership. Responsibilities include: Deliver documentation such as executive briefings, assessments, RMF packages, and related reports. Review cybersecurity tool reports (ACAS, HBSS) for compliance. Develop software certification packages. Coordinate with TRMC SISO on RMF packages and ATO updates. Support security engineering projects and solutions. Lead security audits and compliance activities. Audit artifacts for RMF readiness and provide remediation recommendations. Monitor system status and report to leadership, including vulnerability reports and briefings. Interface with project managers and SISO on issues. Draft and present RMF deliverables to senior leadership. Attend executive reviews as ISSM. Work with outside agencies on agreements and MOU. Collaborate with a distributed team to reduce travel; travel up to 25% required. Basic Qualifications: Active U.S. TS/SCI clearance. At least 2 years in IT Information Assurance or Cybersecurity engineering. At least 2 years reviewing security controls and guiding RMF processes. Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, or 8 years of IT experience; Masters preferred. DoD 8140 compliance. Preferred certifications: CISSP, ISSMP, GSLC, CAP, CASP+, CCISO, CCSP, CISM, CISSP, Cloud+, SSCP. Experience assessing security controls per NIST SP 800 Series. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and processes. Experience with NIST 800-53 and security development. Familiarity with assessments in unclassified and classified environments. Strong communication skills and ability to support high-priority projects. Compensation: $150,000 to $180,000 (California area only). Salary based on experience and internal parity.
