The Mission of Sanofi’s MSL Team and the Medical Science Liaison is to be the trusted scientific partners in the field for external experts and decision-makers engaging in mutual scientific exchanges to accelerate data dissemination. Main Responsibilities The Hematologic Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-facing role whose main objectives are to: Be the trusted scientific partner to key external experts by conducting timely, appropriate and frequent scientific exchanges. Execute on stakeholder engagement plans to gather data and share medical insights. Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in the field of Oncology/Hematology. Recognize, record, and share insights that deepen our understanding of the needs of patients and healthcare providers. Maintain effective communication among internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with relevant requirements. Demonstrate operational understanding and risk management. Engagement with External Stakeholders: Use strong knowledge of relevant diseases and protocols to articulate the medical and scientific value of our products. Establish robust, long-term peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders. Engage with stakeholders to understand healthcare policies and guidelines. Utilize defined systems to map and prioritize stakeholders. Plan territory and individual stakeholder medical strategy. Attend relevant scientific congresses and symposia. Organize educational meetings or local scientific advisory boards. Support speaker training. Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information. Data Gathering and Insight Generation: Collect feedback from multiple data sources and stakeholders. Evaluate key insights from studies and interactions. Maintain awareness of emerging evidence in Hematology/Oncology. Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders: Distribute relevant scientific and medical information. Collaborate with various departments for compliance and product positioning. Contribute to the creation of materials for stakeholders. Support Evidence-Generation Activities: Monitor disease epidemiology and provide support for studies. Identify data collection opportunities during stakeholder interactions. Maintain awareness of clinical trial activity. Support investigator-sponsored study submissions. Context of the job/major challenges: Operate independently and navigate complex regulatory environments. Substantial travel of ~60% regionally and nationally. Mediating KOL's opinions vs corporate policy decisions. Respecting regulatory boundaries regarding non-promotional activities. About You Qualifications: Advanced degree in a technical, scientific, or medical field of Hematology/Oncology preferred. Experience: Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Clear understanding of Hematology/Oncology medical practice. Ability to interpret key scientific data. Exemplary communication and presentation skills. Skills/Knowledge: Actively listens and is adept at stating expert opinions. Utilizes effective communications to cultivate strong relationships. Skillfully plans and executes multiple responsibilities. Demonstrates effective leadership skills. Deep understanding of local regulations for pharmaceutical industry.
