VP - Chief Administrative Officer & Director of Nursing
to join our
Administration
team. Experience/Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school required. Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or similar required. Certification in Leadership/Healthcare preferred. Minimum of 10 years healthcare experience. Minimum of 7 years in roles with progressive leadership and scope. Active MI Registered Nurse license required. Knowledge of nursing/hospital operations, policy administration, budgeting, strategies, and standards. Recent hospital/health system experience with direct responsibility for cost/revenue centers; designing business plans preferred. Strong leadership and organizational management skills. Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization with a large footprint. Honesty, integrity, follow-through, and the ability to manage different perspectives and find win-win solutions. Strong financial, analytical, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and mentorship skills. Ability to recognize workflow problems, redesign processes, and manage change. Collaborative skills with physicians, staff, and professionals in multiple settings and locations. Strong negotiation skills. Strategic planning, organizational development, and business skills. Aspirus Iron River Hospital & Clinics is one of four hospitals in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan within the Aspirus system. With over 300 employees, it serves through a 25-bed hospital, clinics, dialysis, rehab, ambulance, home care, and hospice. The outpatient clinic allows providers to work independently with support from the system. The hospital has an average daily census of 9-10 patients. Services include advanced technology like 64-slice CT and mobile MRI. The medical staff includes family practitioners, internists, surgeons, radiologists, emergency physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants, with visiting specialists in ophthalmology, oncology, cardiology, ENT, podiatry, and nephrology.
