As a software engineer in the Snowtrail team, you will help realize Snowflake's mission of becoming the premier Data Cloud by accelerating high-quality software delivery. You will design and build systems to increase engineering velocity, improve quality validation, and optimize for cost and performance, ensuring we meet current customer needs while staying ahead of technological trends. OUR IDEAL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

Experience with SQL or other database technologies, including internal design and implementation. Knowledge of query optimization, query execution, compiler design, and implementation. Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL internals. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior engineers. Willingness to work on-site at our Bellevue, WA, or San Mateo, CA offices. BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH:

Release validation pipelines and test infrastructure in production. careers.snowflake.com The estimated compensation range for this role is $195,000 - $287,500, plus eligibility for bonuses and equity. Starting salary will depend on skills, experience, and location.
