Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Responsibilities:

Design subsystems for precision-motion platforms used in wafer inspection machines.

Complete the design process, including requirements, scheduling, analysis, prototype testing, and release.

Conduct analyses and simulations such as dynamics, vibration, FEA, and control design using Matlab/Simulink/Python to predict product performance before manufacturing.

Apply deep knowledge of linear control, observers, and feedforward techniques.

Control linear motion XY systems.

Utilize DSP programming skills when applicable.

Drive system integration, prototype testing, and handoff to manufacturing.

Collaborate with Systems and Manufacturing Engineers for system integration.

Lead servo control, firmware, and software engineers during prototype testing to resolve issues and optimize performance.

Qualifications:

Experience in motion control and servo systems design.

Proficiency in signal processing and analysis using Matlab and Python.

Experience with simulations and system dynamics (Simulink).

Knowledge of vibration analysis and accelerometers.

Design experience with positioning systems and high-resolution feedback sensors.

Understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical design.

Semiconductor industry experience is a plus.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Experience in writing requirements and test plans.

Ownership and leadership qualities.

Minimum Qualifications PhD degree; Master's degree with at least three years' experience; Bachelor's degree with at least five years' experience.

Base Pay Range: $114,100 - $194,000 annually.
