Role Overview
The Solutions Architect - Snowflake will work with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical leads to identify real-world problems and propose advanced solutions supporting decision-making across functional areas. This role reports to the Director, IT Data & Analytics and is a key member of the Data & Analytics IT team. Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Help define short- and long-term roadmaps for data platforms or specific areas. Conduct solution assessments and design solutions to meet business needs. Evaluate technologies and methodologies for analytical use cases, including Data Mesh and AI applications. Participate in POV and POC activities involving Snowflake and ETL tools like Azure Data Factory. Engage stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document requirements and technical specifications. Configure, develop, and support applications in our Data & Analytics stack (Snowflake, ADF, Power BI). Design and specify integrations, collaborating with stakeholders and IT teams. Create and review test plans; conduct testing to ensure requirements are met. Contribute to Snowflake practice growth, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies. Lead system maintenance activities. Participate in requirements collection and validation documentation. Follow company standards for validation, project management, and SDLC. Participate in meetings, document action items, and drive resolutions. Create presentations to communicate technical and organizational concepts. Research and advise on technologies and system architecture approaches. Develop plans and architectures with a global perspective. Manage project constraints including risks, time, resources, and scope. Assist in developing solutions roadmaps. Data & Analytics Specific
Work on data ingestion strategies for Data Lake using ETL tools like Azure Data Factory. Maintain data management standards and documentation. Support user access management for Snowflake reporting platform. Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, and ETL methods. Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in BI and Data Analytics solutions. Experience with relational databases and flat file processing. 3+ years with Power BI; Snowflake experience preferred. Experience with Azure Data Factory and Oracle Data Sync preferred. Experience with ERP systems data integration. Ability to work with stakeholders to understand priorities. Knowledge of technologies like Python, Streamlit, Matillion, etc., is an advantage. Knowledge of Snowflake's AI offerings (Cortex) is an advantage. Knowledge & Skills
Data modeling and representation skills. Requirements analysis and stakeholder management. Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
