General Summary
This position is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, managing onsite construction and engineering activities, and ensuring alignment with Graniterock's Family Vision, Core Purpose, Core Values, Strategic priorities, and business objectives. Essential Job Accountabilities
Safety:
Comply with, understand, and promote corporate and division safety initiatives to ensure "Safety before All Else." Financial:
Develop and share daily/weekly/monthly cost reports with the project team and assist with project financial forecasts. Operational:
Manage operational tasks such as updating resource and project schedules, performing quantity take-offs, assisting with material orders, and collaborating with project teams to develop work plans aligned with safety, quality, financial, and scheduling goals. Contractual:
Understand and adhere to all contract documents. Notify the customer of changed conditions or additional work affecting project cost or schedule. Administrative:
Perform tasks including reviewing and approving time cards, submittals, RFIs, correspondence, maintaining drawings and documentation, and processing invoices and payment requests. Customer Service:
Represent the company during client and project meetings, ensuring effective communication and building constructive relationships with customers and subcontractors. Manage small to mid-sized projects by meeting deadlines and budget expectations. Support construction planning, quality control, design, methods, documentation, and review processes to ensure project completion. Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent technical training and experience. At least 4 years of experience in construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar roles. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of CADD or similar programs; HCSS HeavyJob experience is a plus. Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and standards relevant to the discipline. Ability to perform trigonometric calculations manually or with a calculator. Effective communication and responsibility-taking skills. This position is classified as "safety sensitive" and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Graniterock Substance Abuse policy.
