Position Summary :
The Software Engineer is responsible for system design, full life cycle development, and support of C++ code and related technologies in user interface applications for Stereotaxis technologies. This role involves designing, developing, documenting, and testing software written in C++ using Microsoft Developer Studio, with the ability to implement multiple complex software products within scheduled timelines and budgets. Responsibilities:
Translate customer specifications into requirement specifications, define architecture, and create detailed designs. Code software using C++ and Microsoft Developer Studio. Design, implement, debug, unit test, and document features. Develop robust and safe software for medical device use. Peer review software and designs of other engineers. Job Requirements:
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent. 10+ years of relevant experience in Object-Oriented software development. Proficient in C++ programming within Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and MFC environments. Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Patterns, multi-threading, STL. Experience managing multiple complex software projects and understanding the full software development lifecycle. Preferred experience in medical device software development. Knowledge of OpenGL and 3D software development is a plus. Experience with embedded systems and motion controllers. Understanding of network protocols and devices. Familiarity with medical regulatory guidance and FDA pathways such as IDE and 510k. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Work Conditions :
