Job Description
* Develop detailed technical specifications and designs for waterfall/XP projects and system enhancements. * Provide application domain knowledge to the ADM team. * Manage unstable applications and systems by helping to resolve incidents and issues. * Support infrastructure first build with Solution Architects and Infrastructure Engineers. * Review, guide, troubleshoot, and resolve contentious issues escalated during implementation. * Evaluate integration of SaaS / COTS packages into the current environment. * Develop operating procedures and user manuals for transition into routine operations. * Build knowledge databases for technology, solutions, and domain areas. * Collaborate with architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management, and other stakeholders for smooth deployment. * Transfer tacit knowledge to vendors and knowledge management systems. * Maintain the common I/O access subsystem and in-house utilities for database management. * Manage test platforms and files used by developers. * Partner with system analysts and solution engineers to translate requirements into secure, scalable, and extensible designs. * Manage VSAM performance through proper design and buffering. * Administer CICS VR forward recovery utility. * Respond to audit requests and manage related reports. * Handle CICS ABEND reporting, production and test problem debugging, capacity planning, and system software upgrades testing. Required Job Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 4 years in IT OR Technical Certification/College Courses and 6 years in IT OR 8 years in IT. Knowledge of application configuration, Big Data Analytics (HAVeN / HADOOP / Vertica), Cloud computing (SaaS / IaaS / PaaS), Integration Technologies (Tibco/Informatica/CAS), Mobile technologies (Phonegap / iOS / Android / Java / HTML5), Scripting Languages (BASH / PERL / PYTHON / RUBY), Service Oriented Architecture (SOAP / REST), Web Technologies (HTML/CSS/Java/ASP.Net/PHP/Ruby/C#), SDLC Methodologies (Agile / Scrum / Iterative). Strong communication, conceptual, creative, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field. Experience with VSAM File backup, restore, recovery, conversions, reorganizations, naming standards, special loads, logstream management, disaster recovery, data flow design, test database creation, ad hoc fixes, batch tuning, CICS memory management, and VR administration. Support and maintain database-related applications such as Blue Chip Term Up (GTUP), Terminal Operator File (GTOF), record locking, early morning production transactions, key range verification, audit reports, and more.
