Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Architect to act as a technical lead and provide network and infrastructure design for the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA). This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LAN, WAN, intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Design network and computer security measures. Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. Act as the technical lead, coordinate, plan, and oversee local contractor tasks, and report activities back to the Program Manager. Manage surge requirements for technical infrastructure support.
Qualifications
Experience and Education:
12+ years experience in a network and technical infrastructure role. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution. Must be Security+ certified. Technical Skills:
Extensive experience with network design and implementation; installing, configuring, maintaining network equipment; thorough knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls; experience with Cisco multilayer network routers and switches; network monitoring and management; security in network architecture; and experience with DoD IT environments. Additional Requirements:
Good communication skills, ability to lead a technical team, US citizenship, current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI). Applicants will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
