Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technician to join our client's dedicated cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting in diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, ensuring the highest patient safety and care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angioplasties, stent placements, and other cardiac catheterization procedures. Prepare and maintain all Cath Lab equipment and supplies, ensuring they are ready. Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate care during procedures. Perform and document patient assessments and care by hospital policies and procedures. Maintain a sterile environment in the Cath Lab, following strict infection control protocols. Assist in administering contrast media and medications as directed by the physician. Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage for emergency procedures. Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-procedure care. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient individualized care plans. Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field. Current California State License as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Cath Lab or similar clinical setting. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations and maintain composure under pressure. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electrophysiology (EP) procedures. Additional certifications such as Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT). Benefits:
