is looking for an Environmental Safety and Health Officer. Responsibilities

Oversee and act as line management's technical resource for determining Operations and Maintenance risk analysis for the Operational Risk Management Program. Review contract safety specifications and incorporate requirements into the Accident Prevention Plan (APP). Assist in developing project safety plans, budgets, safety supplies, training materials, and other associated costs. Review applicable regulatory requirements and address deficiencies in the current program. Develop site ESH training programs and demonstrate knowledge of materials. Conduct inspections and audits; participate in field inspections and meetings to communicate inspection results and corrective actions. Participate in safety briefings with personnel on the project to confirm understanding of Safety and Health (S&H) requirements, including during morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Lead incident investigations when required. Stop work in Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) situations and review Recovery Plans before work can resume. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Health and Safety or a similar degree with 8+ years of experience, or a Master of Science with 6+ years of experience. Candidates with a master electrician's license, safety certifications (STS, CHST, etc.) and relevant experience may also be considered. Significant experience in general industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and traverse various terrains, including outside and inside locations with potential exposures to dust, heat, cold, and noise. Desired Skills

Environmental experience is highly desired. Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Certified Safety Professional (CSP) NFPA 70E certification. Additional Information

This position is considered sensitive and may require extensive background screening to meet current or future contract requirements, including potential government or network security clearances. Abilities

Prolonged exposure to computer screens and sitting. Reaching, finger dexterity for manipulating objects like keyboards. Listening, understanding spoken information, and effective communication. Reading comprehension and applying general rules to specific problems.
