Provides advisory-based sales and relationship management to attract, retain, and grow a portfolio of prospect and client relationships and deliver an exceptional client experience. Demonstrates an understanding of and care for the client through proactive delivery of holistic advice and solutions designed to meet the client’s specific financial planning needs. Coordinates an integrated team of subject matter experts to craft and execute creative solutions for the client.
Develops and executes the business development strategy, sales targets, and results for the assigned region.
Builds internal and external networks and referral sources to grow business in the assigned portfolio.
Enhances marketplace presence by collaborating with other experts (e.g., internal team, outside attorneys, accountants) to create an integrated business development plan.
Acts as the primary Relationship Manager for assigned client relationships.
Leads or assists with creating business proposals or presentations (e.g., relationship plans, financial plans, reviews).
Leads Annual Client Review meetings to evaluate changing needs, increase communication, and enhance the client experience.
Produces client reports demonstrating value and assessing at-risk clients for retention.
Makes strategic recommendations to senior leaders based on in-depth understanding of the business/group.
Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
Networks with industry contacts to gain insights and best practices.
Proactively identifies client needs and concerns to facilitate resolution.
Introduces subject matter experts to clients as needed.
Shares wealth solutions expertise and product knowledge across the regional team.
Develops solutions and recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
Manages resources and leads execution of strategic initiatives to meet business and financial goals.
Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements, and develops strategic roadmaps.
Conducts analysis to resolve strategic issues.
Serves as a prime subject matter expert for stakeholders.
Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
Bridges banking, trust, and investment disciplines for comprehensive client communication.
Breaks down strategic problems, analyzes data, and provides insights and recommendations.
Monitors performance, addresses issues, and designs reports and dashboards.
Builds change management plans and leads or participates in related activities.
Defines and executes communication plans to influence or change behavior, developing tailored messaging.
Leads operational programs, assessing and adapting as needed.
Oversees the design and implementation of tools and training to deliver results.
Participates in designing, implementing, and managing core processes.
Develops and manages business/group programs, reviewing and enhancing as needed.
Uses an advisory-based financial planning approach to manage opportunities and relationships.
Supports the achievement of the business plan within the designated region.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to build capability and drive growth.
Ensures high-quality service standards to maximize retention and growth.
Builds rapport and confidence with clients to develop credibility and trust.
Follows risk and compliance policies to safeguard assets, maintain privacy, and act in clients' best interests.
Protects the bank's assets and complies with legal and ethical standards.
Operates at a group/enterprise level, serving as a resource to senior leaders.
Applies expertise creatively to address complex, ambiguous, or non-routine situations.
Implements changes in response to market trends.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
MBA certification preferred.
Experience with HNW clients and related knowledge base.
Certified Financial Planner preferred.
Broad knowledge of wealth management facets.
Expert knowledge of bank products, services, and capabilities.
Professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
Influence skills at an expert level.
Excellent collaboration and team skills, especially cross-group.
Able to manage ambiguity effectively.
Data-driven decision-making skills.
Salary:
$100,000.00 - $185,500.00 Pay Type:
Salaried The above reflects BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications, and may include commissions. For part-time roles, salaries are pro-rated. For roles with commissions, the listed salary is the target first-year amount.
