Banner Lassen Medical Center is a 25-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Susanville, California, operated by Banner Health. It provides 24/7 emergency care, general medical and surgical services, cancer care, ICU, maternal services, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and other related services. BLMC offers an excellent environment to apply good pharmacy practice skills. As part of one of the largest hospital groups in the western US, BLMC benefits from extensive patient care resources and financial stability. Being a member of the CPS team, the director will have access to resources for improving clinical practice and patient safety. The centralized Pharmacy is open 7am-4:30pm on weekdays, 7am-3:30pm on Saturdays, and 7am-9am on Sundays. After hours support is provided through Remote Order Entry. The pharmacy uses Cerner and Pyxis automation systems, with EMAR/BVM planned. The pharmacy team includes a Pharmacist and two Technicians, managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services, with this position being an employee of CPS. As the Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities according to hospital policies, professional standards, and legal requirements. You will recommend innovations and implement programs to enhance pharmacy practice and patient safety. The role involves ongoing growth and development of operational systems supporting safe pharmaceutical care, with some on-call responsibilities. Required Qualifications Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) Current California pharmacist license in good standing At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience within the last 5 years, with residency completion in 2012 preferred Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable
