Position Description
This role is part of the Enterprise architecture team, which plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company's technology strategy and processes. An Enterprise Architect is an enterprise-wide expert with broad technical skills, deep industry knowledge, and unparalleled business acumen. The Enterprise Architect supports IT in developing value propositions aligned with business strategies on digital transformation and cloud adoption. They are subject matter experts in categories such as business strategy, application architecture, and data & information architecture. Strong communication and consultative skills are essential to engage with teams including product management, engineering, and other IT partners, to define their transformation journey and steps to achieve it. None Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not all-inclusive. Collaborate with Product and IT Leadership to build strategic roadmaps supporting DaVita's business units, aligning IT strategies and investments with business goals. Effectively communicate IT strategy and vision with C-level executives, business leaders, and IT teams. Develop and maintain enterprise architecture aligned with IT vision, supporting business information needs, and explore emerging technologies for innovation. Partner with product and technology experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions, providing scalable and adaptable architectural solutions. Develop and enforce policies, standards, and guidelines for consistent architecture framework; manage Architecture Review Boards. Provide data architecture expertise during system development, ensuring compatibility with enterprise data architecture. Develop strategies and roadmaps for AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics, including natural language processing and data lakes. Create and articulate future state data platform visions, validating architectures with proofs-of-concept or MVPs. Design scalable data marts, lakes, and warehouses, resolving complex technical issues. Provide technical guidance to engineering teams. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to collaborate with skilled technical staff. Strong communication skills with senior IT and business leadership. Extensive experience in Data Architecture, including large-scale data platform modernization/migration. Experience with enterprise data integration, management, and cloud data platforms. Deep knowledge of GCP cloud data technologies. Broad experience with distributed systems, APIs, high-availability architectures, data warehousing, and enterprise reporting. Knowledge of microservices and domain-driven architecture. Proven success with distributed streaming platforms like Kafka. Familiarity with enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, with certifications preferred. Healthcare industry experience with standards like HL7, FHIR, CCDA, HIPAA is a plus. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of IT architecture experience. 5+ years in an enterprise architecture leadership role, designing complex solutions in cloud or similar environments. 5+ years in application design/development with languages like .NET C#, Java, REST. 2-3 years hands-on experience with GCP data technologies. 4+ years in enterprise data strategy, analytics, and architecture. Experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks. Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Looker. Recent experience with AI/ML, LLMs. Expertise in data modeling, data lakes, warehouses, and DataMart architectures. Experience with enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud, and migrations.
