The Senior Database Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database systems. The role requires expertise in MS Fabric, SQL Server, and cloud database migration, with experience managing large-scale databases and cloud platforms to ensure data integrity, performance, and smooth migration processes.
Responsibilities
Architect and develop scalable database solutions using MS Fabric and SQL Server. Develop, implement, and optimize ETL packages, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions using T-SQL. Analyze existing SQL queries, explain plans, and implement improvements. Develop procedures and scripts for data migration. Create and optimize data models. Lead cloud database migration projects, minimizing downtime and data loss. Integrate data sources to create unified data models. Analyze and optimize database performance for efficient query execution and resource utilization. Automate database change deployments using Azure DevOps pipelines. Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance. Maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, configurations, and migration processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions. Mentor junior developers and conduct training to enhance team skills. Stay updated on latest database technologies and trends, and implement innovative solutions. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field. At least 7 years of experience in database development, with focus on MS Fabric, SQL Server, and cloud migration. Expertise in MS Fabric applications. Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and triggers. Experience with cloud database platforms. Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies. Experience assisting businesses in creating functional and technical specifications. Experience with database mirroring and CDC. Strong understanding of database architecture and design principles. Experience with ETL/ELT design and tools. Familiarity with data warehousing and BI solutions. Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Ownership mindset and pride in work.
