This role will be based onsite out of our San Jose, CA office.
The Common Hardware Group (CHG) delivers silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for Cisco's core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products. We design networking hardware for Enterprises, Service Providers, the Public Sector, and Non-Profit Organizations worldwide.
Cisco Silicon One (#CiscoSiliconOne) is the only unifying silicon architecture enabling customers to deploy top-of-rack switches through web-scale data centers, spanning service provider, enterprise networks, and data centers with a unified routing and switching portfolio. Our group combines startup culture benefits with those of a leading networking company. You'll collaborate with senior micro-architects, designers, verification engineers, and cross-functional software and product teams to ensure successful ASIC deployment.
Your Impact
Develop high-performance ASICs from specifications to tape-out.
Define micro-architecture, write specifications, and implement designs.
Implement Verilog RTL to meet timing and performance goals.
Help evolve our design methodology.
Collaborate with verification, PD, DFT, Package, and Software teams on next-generation ASICs.
Conduct diagnostic and post-silicon validation tests.
Work with hardware and software teams to troubleshoot system, software, and customer failures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 8+ years of ASIC design experience.
Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
Experience in architecture and micro-architecture development.
Experience delivering ASICs from specification to tape-out.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 6+ years of ASIC design experience.
Proven track record of meeting project milestones and deadlines.
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Troubleshooting and debugging expertise.
Scripting skills (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
